Having A Blurry Period Of Your Blogging Adventure? pt. 2

When I first began to realize that this emptiness of non-blogging was upon me, back in August & September, I was in the middle of an educational program. It would take three years to complete, & would have opened up for further education possibilities to become a journalist, which is something that I want to do sooner or later.

The first four months of this educationthe key to “success” – as people say in this modern society, I didn’t like it at all… I quickly realized that this was not the way of achieving happiness for me. So I quit.

Having A Blurry Period Of Your Blogging Adventure?

This is for all you fellow bloggers out there who are currently experiencing a dark or blurred period of your blogging life.

I too am somewhere in the middle (is it like a weather forecast?) of that experience, and it’s an awful thing… at least so it seems. It’s like this huge block of shadow is covering your connection to the thinking part of the brain, isn’t it? Sometimes you get a glimpse of an idea behind this shadow, but then it’s gone almost just as quickly – hiding behind it. That’s what I visualize nevertheless.

Now I just may have a “solution” for both you and me:

We are the smartest beings on earth, but dumb as hell..

Everybody in my personal life – all in their own discrete ways – keeps blabbering up about how clever mankind is, how intelligent we are. They say things like “mice didn’t invent the internet – we did. Cows didn’t invent railroads – we did. Dogs didn’t invent chairs & tables – we, mankind did.”

And there is, of course, no argument against this. We ARE the most intelligent beings that we know of on this planet.

But are we wise enough to carry this intelligent mind around? We invented tools to make life easier a couple of hundred thousand years ago, but were we wise enough not to take life from one another? We invented the flamethrower for the average poor farmer in the Middle East, not to make thousands of children fatherless in the Vietnam War & probably many other places as well.

We were intelligent enough to invent the nuclear bomb & planes carrying it, but with what intend?  Was it wise to destroy entire families using just that?

Yes! We are very intelligent indeed. But are we wise enough?

I doubt it.

I’m glad to know that you’re sticking with me this far, and I hope you feel the same tension in your chest as I do thinking of this.

Two ears & one mouth

When I started this blog, all I wanted to do was to write & write & write. As some of you may know, it went pretty well, but then it all stopped. One of the reasons for this sudden halt, might be that I had written all I wanted to write. Another certain reason being, that my “succes” made me hunger for a continuously increase in success. I completely forgot the meaning of balance & patience, and in all of my writing, I forgot to read. I had forgotten that nature has given us two ears, and only one mouth.

I miss this community, and I miss writing. Therefore I will try to restore some balance, and read a lot of blogs.

Thanks for reading! Happy blogging :)

If I could choose my own way of living

If I could live my whole life a 100 % as I wanted, I would be Andy the observing Protector!

I would, as George Carlin  almost did, quit society and quit humanity. I would sit on the shoulder of the people of Earth, & I would help them achieve happiness. I would observe their actions & behavior, & I would protect them from negative choices.

I would protect people from their governments, and I would help people unite, & form governments. I would open factories & and I would shut factories down. I would observe and see to that people threw enormous parties and festivals, & I would disgust those who do not respect, but choose to abuse!

Bullshit is everywhere. There is no group, country or religion with monopoly on it. Only people can contain it, & people are everywhere. I would protect the people from their own ego’s. For it is only in a broken ego bullshit can breed.

I would  protect & educate the ego of our world with fierce dedication, and I would see to that we all thrive.

… But that’s just me… :)

Technological disadvantage!

Why does the government complain about missing jobs, when they allow machine’s to replace us?

First off let’s talk about the advantages new technology is currently indulging us with:

Industrialism, which means – more food for export and therefore import as well –> slight public wealth growth. Industrialism – more of everything generally: chairs, computers, pens, toys etc. for export/import. Industrialism again – more schools à bigger pool of public knowledge. Greater effectiveness in terms of infrastructure and transport opportunities. And of course better phones, pc’s and residential heating and other comforts. Anything obvious I guess haha :)

Those are what strike my mind just now.

There are, however, some maybe-not-that-obvious disadvantages of our technological advance.

Lower quality of the mass produced food. *Pointing at McDonald’s!* – which in turn means bigger budget spent on medical services. Lower quality of the mass produced schools. They’re even making “super schools” for 5000 pupils +… I will write the problem with this solution in a later post. Fewer jobs! <– That right there is why I made this post. There are many more problems with technological advance, but fewer jobsis by far the most relevant one at the moment!

There really is no huge explaining for me to do here. Just think about where machines took our jobs:

-          In the postal service – no one sorting mail anymore.

-          In the snow cleaning business – you don’t see 10 guys sweeping the road, having fun anywhere…

-          Agriculture – most farms have had their loving & caring workforce replaced by giant technological monstrosities.

-          Generally every factory have had their 200 man workforce replaced by 2-4 guys reading the newspaper whilst supervising the assembly line or the superfast, never-failing robot hand.

-          Even WAR now has the same difficulty for the soldiers, as a simple computer game or war-simulator some places. Not kidding! Have you seen how they just remote control bombing drones? (not that I support war at all, which I don’t)

Some of these examples may seem silly or unnecessary, but tell me then; would you rather be without job, than spend 6 hours each day, creating a cozy atmosphere with your fellow mail-sorting-colleagues? Would you rather be without content, than be a part of a 200 man workforce at the toothpaste factory? I know what I would choose.

And working on a factory is not necessarily boring and unhealthy due to some wrong body posture. I say switch duties, listen to music on huge subwoofers, have a weekly contest or create a theme for your workstation! There are all kinds of stuff that can help create an awesome atmosphere no matter how tiresome work can be.

But for the sake of ourselves; let’s fight the machines & get our jobs back!
